We are here to support writing groups in your community or develop your individual skills as a writer. Whatever your level of expertise we provide workshops, author events and training days. We are an experienced community of writers, arts facilitators and promoters who have been working across Dorset since 2008 with: A range of writers working in different forms and genres who have delivered workshops and training days Arts consultants, publishers and agents who have delivered training events Established and new writing groups in rural and urban Dorset Health charities providing care for those with poor physical, emotional and mental health Social care organisations providing support for carers, parents and people with learning disabilities Adults living in rural areas with poor access to arts and educational opportunities We have been supported financially in our work by the MLA, Dorset Library Service, Cyprus Well (now Literature Works), Weymouth & Portland Partnership, the National Lottery, POPPS, Dorset County Council and DOTS Disability. We are currently funded by Arts Council England’s Grants for the Arts, Dorset Community Foundation and donations.
